India and Japan are a part of the same continent, yet there are vast differences in culture, language, work ethics etc. These cultural differences are often seen as impediments to any successful collaboration. We believe that it is possible to move beyond these cultural differences and create successful partnerships. A successful and mutually beneficial partnership can be built through proper understanding and respect of the two cultures and their value systems. We, at NEC HCL ST, are committed to doing exactly that through our cultural orientation and sensitization programs. Given below is a brief outline of the initiatives taken so far.

|
Workshop:
Two day workshops are held periodically on Japanese business and culture orientation. The external faculty for these workshops have extensive experience of working in Japan and has a clear understanding of their business expectations, cultural, and social etiquettes.

Language training program:
Japanese Language training program is conducted by faculties who are Japanese nationals. This ensures that the participants learn the correct nuances of the Japanese language. The language training also provides a rare opportunity for the participants to interact with a person of Japanese origin thereby preparing them for comfortable business relationships with their Japanese counterparts in future.

Online guide:
An online guide on the life and culture of Japan is available to the employees for ready reference. Employees can easily access information pertaining to customs, etiquettes, and other valuable information on Japan and its nationals.
